Thanks / Update on Reinstatements

Another word of thanks for your patience as we have worked through last week’s cyber security incident. Our team worked around the clock to get all agents back online. At this point, if you are having any log in issue, it would be related to you having an old email address in our system and needing to update it to receive your “forgot password” email. Our sales and customer service team can assist.

Our customer service, underwriting and sales teams remained available to assist with policies when you did not have access and my thanks to them for the extra support and you again for your patience.

The Texas auto insurance market continues to see rate increase after rate increase. This has carriers leap frogging each other on rate. Allstate increased rates another 23% last month. Inflation has not settled within physical damage and the latest stats show inflation related to bodily injury continuing to rise. As this continues, Alinsco is remaining diligent on rate adequacy. To ensure we remain in this pattern we will return to no reinstatements for lapsed policies for no payment until the end of the year. Clients may be rewritten at our current rates to ensure proper rating for the continued inflation rise.

Alinsco continues our phone call out program reminding clients a payment is due, and of course those on our electronic documents program receive an email notification and app users as pop-up notice. Further, many clients use our EFT discount related to improved client retention. These steps assist in policy retention. Lapsed insureds will need to be rewritten.

Thanks again for your partnership and kindness.
